A Letter to the Mama Who Has Just Found Out Her Baby Has Noonan Syndrome

Hey, beautiful Mama, I know your scared. I know that this isn't how you thought motherhood would be like. I know that you feel alone, confused and afraid. You possibly haven't heard of Noonan Syndrome before.  Your tired and weary eyes are frantically searching for answers on Google. You turn your head and see your bundle of joy sleeping soundly and a tear escapes from your eye. You wonder what sort of life your little love with lead and another tear escapes from your eye followed by another. You realise he/she will have to face challenges no child should. But Mama. Breath. Everything will be okay. You will be okay. Your baby will be okay. One step at a time and you will figure it out. Your little love will lead a beautiful life, a unique and wonderful person who will always dance to the beat of their own drum. Who will make you smile and make every small milestone feel like a victory.  You will appreciate life a little more loudly as you and your little love will power through every challenge that you face. You are doing a great job, don't let anybody into your life that doesn't realise that. Remember you and your little love are worthy of all great things. Stay positive and think of all the priceless adventures you and your tiny human will embark on. Always go with your gut instincts and fight for what you believe is best for you and your baby. ONE STEP AT A TIME MAMA, YOU WILL MAKE IT.

Dear Law and Order, I watched your 2010 SVU episode the other day, the one where you portrayed Noonan Syndrome.  Now, I'm not one to cause a stir, nor do I like to cause any bad feeling. But you portrayal of Noonan Syndrome was incorrect. I guess your intention was to raise awareness of Noonan Syndrome and give such a rare condition some acknowledgement. For that I thank you, you clearly meant well. However, there is a few things I'd like to pull you up on. Firstly, I'd like to point out the mistake in characteristics. For Noonan Syndrome causes short stature, you cast, to be exact, a 5ft 8inch (1.73 m) actor who played Stuart, the guy who had Noonan Syndrome. Secondly, you portrayed us as a criminal, a threat to children and who unrinates in public. I know you are a crime programme I get that. But here's the thing, what concerned me is that you made out that he was commiting these crimes because of his Noonan Syndrome not down to his

When You Look At Me When you look at me,  what do you see? A fragile, vulnerable little girl as small as can be? or a independent, strong  and fearless woman who can be whatever she wants to be. Tell me what do you see?  If you see a fragile, vulnerable little girl as small as can be, I ask you to take time to sit with me.
